China's new energy vehicles have a strong momentum of development, with rapid development in model matching, technology research and development and the new energy vehicle consumption market, and breakthroughs have been made in the fields of enterprises, technologies and markets.
Enterprise development status
There are two modes for China's local vehicle manufacturers to develop new energy vehicles. One is to find a way through their own resources. The research and development of new energy vehicles has long been carried out by major car companies, and the large-scale launch of concept cars and trial operations appeared after the introduction of the "Planning" in 2009. Various car manufacturers have invested in the battle for new energy vehicles. The governments of Jilin, Anhui, Guangdong, Hunan and other major auto-industry provinces have also staking their ground, and have issued policies to encourage large local auto companies to establish new energy vehicle bases in an attempt to gain strong support from the policies. At present, nearly 100 auto companies across the country have invested in the research and development of new energy vehicles. Not only automobile manufacturers, but also energy suppliers, supporting facilities construction enterprises and technology R&D enterprises have also invested in the upsurge of supporting construction of new energy vehicles. Led by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and established by central enterprises, the new energy vehicle central enterprise alliance was established on August 18, 2010. The involvement of major groups indicates that the technical caliber will be more unified and the concentration of enterprises will be further increased.
Technology Development Status
China has implemented the new energy vehicle technology plan since the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period. During the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" and "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, China has successively invested 2.04 billion yuan in scientific research funds to implement the "863" plan, major scientific and technological projects for electric vehicles, energy saving and Major new energy vehicle projects; in the past 10 years, a total of more than 500 related topics have been set up, and the development of independent research and development of electric vehicles and other energy-saving new energy vehicles has been continuously encouraged. Vertical", the electric vehicle R&D pattern of "three horizontal" with three common technologies of multi-energy powertrain control system, drive motor and its control system, power battery and its management system. After two five-year scientific and technological breakthroughs, China has made significant progress in the field of new energy vehicles. It has established an electric vehicle power system technology platform and vehicle integration technology with independent intellectual property rights, and developed a series of large-scale application products. The overall level is at International forefront.

While promoting the development of electric vehicles, China is also actively promoting the strategy of "talents, patents and standards", striving to gain the right to speak in future competition. Only in the implementation of the science and technology plan, 2881 patents have been applied, including 1635 special inventions, and 42 national and industrial standards for electric vehicles have been promulgated. However, in terms of new energy technology, China and foreign countries are not yet on the same starting line, and there is still a big gap between China and developed countries in key components such as automotive lithium batteries, drive motors, and power control systems.
